Peace be on to you my fellow brethren in Christ. I am honored to write the WOTM for September. Hebrews 11:6 says it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. I can't stop writing about faith; it keeps rising in me to talk about. I believe that to truly receive the full blessings of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ one must sell out or believe whole heartedly, that God will do what he says he will do. We must have faith and it must be unshakeable, and always abounding. We must stand and face our storm with the faith that Jesus will show up and save us. In Luke 22:32a Jesus said I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not… To me this means that my God has strengthened me for this storm. What we have to remember is our storm is meant to increase our faith in our Lord Jesus, and draw us closer to him. There are times when our storms are for the benefit of others. So God will use us as a messenger because they aren’t hearing him.
People are always watching us, and they can see Christ in us, and will be drawn to us, to receive that message the Lord sent thru us. God compliments us because he is tells Satan have you tried my servant. Some of us try to have God adjust to our schedules, but God's work cannot be denied because it is written his Word will not return void. We must pray in faith on things that are not as if they were, we know we’ll receive them. Philippians 4:6 says, be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God. I want you to remember this, because we serve God, satan is our enemy and he will do anything to traps, try to draw our attention from God. When it comes to serving God one must make sacrifices and offerings. They can be the same and they might not be. Sacrifice means to give up something and offering means willingly and cheerfully give something. Truth be told I find it better to sacrifice my time for the things that of God. I am more visible in my church. I also offer praises to God because it is my reasonable service.
I have a testimony: I recently lost my mother. My mother died on November 24th 2011 and my family and I decided to keep thanksgiving dinner. I was grieving, so while waiting for the food to be prepared my older son called me excited (crying) and he said his friend was in an accident can I pray for him as soon as those words came out his mouth, satan said tell him you are grieving you can't right now, you just lost your mother but God said to me Let the dead bury the dead. So I prayed for that young man's life. When I finished praying the Holy Ghost brought to my remembrance that my pastor had prayed our strength in the Lord. God was letting me know that she is gone, there is still work to be done. In the week, leading up to her home going ceremony, I was in church often because there is no better place to find God but in the house of God. My church, my adopted family, was there for me. I asked God for him to help me get pass my grief by the day of the ceremony, and midway thru the service my grief left me. God had answered my prayer. What God did for me he can do for you, all you have to do is have faith, and believe in him and he will take care of you. Ephesians 2:8 says For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.
Please forgive me I did not mean to go so long but any time I get to speak or write about the Lord I get carried away. Until next time, I love you with the love of the Lord. Pray for me as I pray for you and may the peace of God rest and abide in you. Amen.
