Join us as we mark the first official visit of 2013 to the Great Northern District with newly elected General Board Member of the Church Of God In Christ, Bishop Ted G. Thomas, Sr. 
Appointed seventh in succession as prelate of the Historic First Jurisdiction of Virginia in 1984, Bishop Thomas has served in this position for more than 27 years. Under his leadership, the Jurisdiction has enjoyed tremendous growth and has gone from 18 churches to more than 50 in only a few short years.
This November, during the 2012 General Assembly in St. Louis, Bishop Thomas was elected to the General Board, one of twelve bishops who are responsible for establishing and executing policies for the membership, as well as sustaining and perpetuating spiritual order within the Church. We are honored to have him join us for this special service:
