What a revival the saints had this past fall! After doing a self-evaluation, I came to the realization that I was probably out of position from seeing what God wants for me. We sometimes get distracted and that can move us out of the path of what God has lined up for us (or heavily delay it). The devil has so many weapons at his disposal to use against us, but we serve the true and living God. Satan has already been defeated and can't beat God, which means we are unstoppable in the Lord as long as we don't help destruction win. The scripture in Isaiah 54:17 reminds us:
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
There are so many weapons that we will see in our lifetime that the devil has put into place to catch us off guard. If we trust and believe in the Lord, we don't have to fall for them.
Pastor Eddie B Pruitte, Jr. brought up an excellent point one day as he referred to the story of Job. If you know the story, the devil went to the heavenly court meeting with the other angels and God asked him what he was doing? In essence, the devil was up to no good and looking for his next victim. Job's name came in the mix and God gave the devil PERMISSION to attack Job.
As children of God we are truly covered by the blood. When Satan sees us, he sees the blood and knows that we are untouchable without God’s permission. And while he gets his weapons together, they won't prosper because we are covered. We can watch them form each and every day, but they can't do us any harm unless we help them destroy us. Will you use the power given unto you against those weapons or help them prosper? The choice is yours.
But remember, no weapon will prosper unless you help it!!
