Christmas is a very big deal in the Pruitte household. I do really love Christmas, but I don’t believe anyone loves Christmas more than my father.
Christmas starts the day after Thanksgiving in my house. I love decorating, but my favorite thing to do is sit by the lit fireplace and watch Netflix. On Christmas day we all have to get up early and cook breakfast and we then go to the living room to open our gifts.
But we don’t just open them up. First, we have to tell each other what we’re thankful for. Then, we have to read the story of Jesus being born. After all that is done, we each pray and then we open our gifts. Afterwards we go to my sister’s house and invite any church member who wants to come over to eat. After we are done eating we all exchange gifts and watch television.
Once everyone is tired, we all take food home, say our good-byes and go home.
