The Year of Our Harvest: 2015 Annual Consecration!

“Lord, we’ve sown and we’re ready to reap our harvest!” prayed First Lady Vivian Pruitte with the congregation, excited as the final minutes of the all-night shut-in reached climax.

The early morning prayer vigil turned into a Holy Ghost-inspired praise service as the saints of Holiness Tabernacle worshiped God for bringing them through – not only 21 days of consecration, but the overnight prayer service that ended at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 24th.

Having declared 2015 as The Year of Our Harvest, Pastor Eddie B Pruitte, Jr. followed the prompting of the Lord to lead the members on a three week fast to consecrate themselves, sow seeds of righteousness into the fertile ground of faith, and prepare to reap a great harvest from the Lord. The saints fasted daily, read scriptures and joined in nightly services to empty themselves so that they could reap abundantly.

“What have you been putting out?” Pastor Pruitte asked the members. It was a sobering moment as the people began to contemplate the seeds they had planted. “The season for sowing is different from the season of harvesting – but rest assured, we will all reap a great harvest, based on what we’ve sown.”

The Word of God came mightily during each of the special services. Speaking under the anointing, men and women encouraged the people of God with riveting messages such as Kicking Against the Prick, Strength for the Harvest, Sweet Communion, Being a Living Sanctuary, Jubilee Harvest,  KingdomBuilding and much more.

“Satan wants to steal your harvest,” reminded Elder John Mabry, II, coming from Genesis 27:40. “But when you get sick and tired of him interfering in your life, you’ll break the yoke and take it back!” he continued, exhorting the saints to not lose hope and resist the enemy.

Most importantly, each night brought its own unique outpour of God’s Spirit – whether through having the saints of God literally sit at the altar and tarry for God’s presence, or rejoicing as one of the young sisters in Christ was filled with the gift of the Holy Spirit, evidenced through speaking in tongues!

“When we come down from the mountain,” exclaimed Minister Andre Powell on the final night, just before the shut-in, “what change we’ll see in our lives and in our walk, now that we’ve had the opportunity to commune with God!”

The congregants at Holiness Tabernacle could sense a difference in their lives, attitudes and anointing having collectively spent time with the Lord. Indeed, the New Year is destined to bring a tremendous harvest in the lives of all who chose to actively sow!
