I Trust You Lord
By Josie Manrique
But I trust you, Lord it’s not easy
Sometimes the pain in my life
Makes you seem so far away
But I’ll trust you
I need to know you’re here
Through the tears and the pain
Through the heartache and rain
I’ll trust you
“I Trust You” by James Fortune
Although these are the words from a James Fortune song, do they ring true in your life?
We can say, Lord I trust you, but do we walk, live and believe in what we say?
Sometimes we allow life to get the best of us. We get overwhelmed by the obstacles and events that come our way. We start to doubt God, His word and his promises He has made to us. When we doubt, it causes our blessings to be held up and we begin to try to make our own way. We may try to get that job by exaggerating (lying) on our resume or we may try to get back more money on our taxes by exaggerating (lying about) our expenses. Either way it is not the way God wants to bless us.
When we doubt God, we are telling Him that He is not a promise keeper. We have to remember that He is not like man and He will never lie to us or break a promise. We have to trust God regardless of what the situation may seem like or look like. God loves to show Himself mighty! His word says that in our weakness He is made strong, so it is okay to be weak in an area so that God may come in and show His strength.
Throughout all that we go through, the tears, pain and heartache, just know that we have to trust God and stand on His Word.
