Praise is What I Do

Praise Is What I Do

By Missionary Felicia Garrison

I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore. Psalm 86:12

For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods. Psalm 96:4

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. Psalm 98:4

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.  Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.  For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. Psalm 100

These are some of my favorite scriptures that I often go to when I need to remind myself of the things God has done for me. When I think of His goodness and all He has done my soul can’t help but to praise Him.

God has shown me time and time again that He has a plan for my life, and where I’m at now in my life is right where I should be. I praise Him in the good and bad, whether I’m happy or sad because He has been too good to me that I owe Him a praise. I don’t have a million dollars or the house on the hill, but where I’m at right now in this place with God and all of His splendidness – I can’t help but praise Him.

God has brought me from a mighty long way and He reminds me time and time again if I just keep my eyes on Him and don’t doubt His love for me, that He is with me every step of the way and He will give me the desire of my heart.  God continues to show Himself strong and mighty in my life. Whether I’m happy or sad I owe Him a praise.

There was a time in my life when I know it was nothing but His grace and mercy that kept me. When I’ve fallen, He picked me up and brushed me off and told me to get back in the race because His mercy endureth to the end. I can’t help but praise Him!

Praise is what I do.
