It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!!
On more than one occasion you’ve heard us say that we have some of the most gifted, talented and humorous youths at Holiness Tabernacle. I had the opportunity to speak with a couple of them (Ms. Malaysia Hanson and Ms. Melinisis Diop) the other day concerning our most favorite time of year. I think you’ll find some of their responses unique and enlightening.
Pastor Pruitte: What are some of your most favorite things to do for Christmas?
MH: I like being with my family and participating in some of the Church activities.
MD: I like being with my family and celebrating Jesus’ birth.
Pastor Pruitte: Tell us about some of your favorite gifts you’ve received.
MD: I was about three or four years old and my mom gave me a Disney Princess blanket. I walked around with it all of the time.
MH: One year I got an American Girl Doll and her name was Angel.
Pastor Pruitte: What was a gift you gave someone else that you remember?
MH: Once I gave a friend of mine a piggy bank. It was Woody from Toy Story.
MD: I gave my grandmother a tie-died rainbow rag. I made it myself.
Pastor Pruitte: What’s your favorite Christmas dish?
MD: Sausage and Chinese rice.
MH: Chicken and rice.
Pastor Pruitte: What do you like to do the night before Christmas?
MH: I like to ride around and look at Christmas decorations.
MD: I like to sleep with my pajamas turned inside out – hoping it’ll snow, and dream about Christmas.
Pastor Pruitte: If you could give Jesus anything for Christmas, what would it be?
MD: I would give him praise.
MH: I would make a house for Him to live in.
On behalf our Youth Department leaders and the Youth of Holiness Tabernacle… MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
