The Lord is Good

The Lord Is Good

By Deacon David Moses

There seems to be a debate about whether God is fair or not. I know that God is God alone, all power comes from Him, and that means that He has the authority to do as He will. He gave us free will, which means that we have the choice to follow Him or not. I believe that although it may seem to us that God is not fair, God is good to me all the time. I am a witness for Jesus and I am called to testify about His goodness.

Let me begin by praising Him: Thank you Jesus for keeping me, for loving me, for protecting me and for piloting me. I will tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Psalm 68:11 – “The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love

his name shall dwell therein.”

I love Jesus and I know He loves me. He is forever with me and always talking to me. He protects me from myself, He protects me from harm and danger and He props me on every bending side. He continually makes Satan a liar.  He blesses me with his grace and mercy. His loving kindness is never ending. Let me tell you why.

Ephesians 2:8, 9 – “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of ourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Mark 9:23 – “Jesus said ‘if thou canst believe all things are possible to him that believeth,’"

His DNA flows in those that believe that He was crucified on the cross, died, and rose from the dead, and is now seated on the right hand of God making intercession for His believers. I am one of His believers and His DNA flows in me. I want to be like Jesus.

1 Peter 2:24 – “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to sins should live unto righteousness: by those stripes ye are healed.”

I am a witness to His healings. I was there when He saved me from a car accident, when He slowed down my car just long enough, so I can miss hitting a car running a red light, or when He healed me when I was having chest pains. I saw my blood   pressure getting high while I was in triage room, but as soon as the saints and I changed our conversation to include giving God glory, my blood pressure went down to normal.

Exodus 14:14 – “The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”

He healed me when my sugar was very high. I lost a lot of weight, my blood pressure was also very high, I became far sighted as well, but Jesus delivered me from them all. Jesus is in the details, if you wait and listen you will hear Him speaking to you and tell you that He is with you and He will not leave you. He will perform that which must be done to deliver you out of your trials.

Romans 8:25 – “But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.”

His requirement is that we stand still and watch Him perform His will. When I look back on my life, I see God was holding my hand from the start of my life. Things or accidents that happened in my life should have killed me, but Jesus blocked it. I resigned from my job of over twenty years and did not know that I would get that time to spend with my mom before the Lord called her home. God had a plan, and He covered me. I give God all the glory for being my God.

Romans 8:1-4 – “there is therefore no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit. For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh. That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit.”

Let me leave you with a scripture to think on and let it rule in your heart. Pay attention to whom is speaking through Jeremiah. This scripture will help you, so let it grow in your heart:

Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the thoughts that I have towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil to give you an expected end.”

I guarantee that if you repeat this scripture several times daily, you will hear the voice of God speaking to you and you will see Him in the details of your daily life. Until next time, I love you and there ain't a thing you can do about it.
