My Testimony By Deacon David Moses

Let me start by saying I LOVE JESUS and I won’t take it back.  I haven’t gotten everything that I ever wanted when I asked God for it. I haven’t always been in good health, my bills are not always paid on time, I don’t always have money in my pocket. As a matter of fact, my bills have bills! Loved ones have passed away and at times I worry about the future. God is not fair. But I know that He is good, and He is good all the time. Because of Him I am able to bear these burdens.

James 1:2-5 tells us, “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience, But let patience have her perfect work, that ye be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”

God cares enough, to not give me what I want but He gives me just what I need when I need it. While God is working on me, He is also rewarding me with His gifts to help me with my walk with Christ. Let me name a few of the gifts that He has given me, gifts such as faith, hope and charity. These gifts help me endure the hardships of life and whatever Satan throws at me. Each one of my hardships that I have endured and claimed the victory over, have brought me closer to God. It’s part of the expected end that brings us in the line or in the part of Christ.

Philippians 3:14 tells us “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

Seven years ago, my mom passed away after a long battle with illness. Before she passed, we all took turns caring for her. Around that time, I left my job where I was working for the last twenty years. I had no job to go to and my mother needed someone to care for her during the morning until my niece came home from school. At the time I looked on it as the duty of a son that loves his mother. When she passed, and I was grieving, God comforted me with this gift from Him to me. This had been my time to say I love you mom and my time to say goodbye. God said that from the moment I left my job it was His plan for me to say my goodbyes with my loved one. These trials and temptations give me the opportunity to exercise my gifts that He have given me. Demons and devils flee every time I use my gifts.

Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek ye first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things will be added unto you.”

I LOVE JESUS and I GIVE GLORY TO GOD! I can do nothing without Him.

This is just one of my testimonies, but it is significant.

John 12:32 tells us, “And I, if I be lifted up will draw all men on to me.”

I live life to please Him that saved me from a death in sin, now I live with an expectation to make heaven my home.

I leave you with a thought. Your ransom has been paid. You were bought with a price. Love Him with all your heart and He will not withhold anything from you.

Pray for me and I will do the same for you. I love you with the love of the Lord.
