God’s People: Called to Holy Living

II Corinthians 7:1

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Titus 2:11-14

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Hebrews 12:14

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.

Leviticus 10:10-11

And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean; And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the Lord hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.

I Peter 1:15-16

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Happy New Year!! Can you believe it’s already 2020? It seems like only yesterday I was scurrying with several other IT professionals preparing for the dreaded “Y2K” catastrophe that never happened: and that was a generation ago.

As usual I seek the Lord for direction and focus for our local church. I believe it is vitally important to set goal and write a plan and vision for the people of God. Last month the Presiding Bishop of our denomination, Bishop Charles Edward Blake, Sr., selected a theme for our international church that struck a chord with me: God’s People Called to Holy Living. A soon as I heard it my heart leaped, and I was excited. If you have an opportunity, read my blog  on the much-needed lifestyle change the world needs to receive.

In 2020, Holiness Tabernacle has planned an aggressive schedule of outreach activities. We have plans for every age group, for men and women, those married, divorced and single, the young and old – practically every category imagined. However, if we lose our focus and miss the call to holiness, we will have missed the most important plan God has called us to.

God’s People Called to Holy Living!

I bless you in the name of the Lord.
