The Invisible Hand of God

By John Mabry, II

Several years ago, when I was preparing to graduate high school, I did not know how I was going to pay for my college education.  My basic plan was to attend Los Angeles Community College (LACC) for a couple of years, work part time, and then transfer to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).  Little did I know that several of my teachers were working behind the scenes recommending me for a scholarship to attend East Texas State University, now part of the Texas A&M University System.  It was the result of my education at Texas A&M that I came to the Washington area to work for a Texas congressman; and the rest, as they say, is history. From that point on, I watched the invisible hand of God take control of my life, bringing me to where I am today.  It has been an interesting roller coaster ride, but the Lord has kept me on track with His master plan every step of the way.

I am, therefore, a witness that God can fulfill His purpose in our lives, no matter how the situation may look or how we may feel.  We can take comfort in knowing that God watches over His Word to perform it even in today’s world of chaos and utter confusion.
