Happy 2021! I’ve never thought about making resolutions at the start of a new year. This is the first time I took the time to think about it, because I was asked by Pastor Pruitte. When I told my grandmother that I would be writing my new year resolutions for the church, she said I should write physical and spiritual resolutions and she told me to think of my resolutions like goals that I want to achieve during the year.
My physical goals for 2021 are:
- To work on better controlling my anger and emotions. I’ve been told that I’m “dramatic” and even though I don’t think I am, I don’t like to hear that, so I will work on improving that.
- I also want to pay better attention to what I eat, because I eat a lot of sweets. I want to focus on eating more healthy foods. I heard on the news that some people who were infected with COVID-19 may have been unhealthy and I want to stay healthy.
- A really funny goal I have is to be a better dancer! My family jokes with me about how I dance, so I’m going to practice and get better.
My spiritual goals for 2021 are:
- To read my Bible more, so that I understand how I am supposed to live for God.
- I want to make better decisions and think about what I do before I do it.
- I want to pray more. My grandparents and I have started to read a Bible story and have prayer together each night.
- I also want to make my Tutu happy and will really try to listen to what Pastor Pruitte is preaching when we’re in church and to be more engaged in the service.
Those are my goals for 2021! Happy New Year!
GREAT JOB!! Keep up the good work.
